Protect Your Pipes from Cold Weather
We are expecting extremely cold temperatures again this weekend.  Many homes in Croton have experienced frozen pipes and frozen water lines in their homes.  In order to prevent this happening to you, take some necessary precautions.

1.      Maintain  60-degree minimum temperatures throughout your home.

2.      Protect exposed pipes with insulation.

3.      Water service lines are private property – some may be shallow and vulnerable to freezing.  If you have reason to believe your service line is vulnerable you may want to consider running a small pencil-tip amount of water in one of your faucets during extremely cold weather to prevent freeze-ups.

For further information about protecting your water pipes see the following sites.
