Croton-On-Hudson, NY, Jan 6, 2011 – Tickets for CHEF's winter fundraiser, Dine-A-Round, are on sale now.~~Dine-A-Round is on Saturday, January 29th starting at 6pm.~~~Space is limited.  Please visit CHEF's website information and ticket sales.~
Dine-A-Round raises money to support innovation in the Croton-Harmon Schools.  The event will kick off with appetizers at the home of~Kevin and Jessica Kearns.~ Kevin and Jessica live in one of the original stone homes built in the early 1900's by the Stevenson family.~ Intimate dinners will be served at 17 different host homes with a variety of talented cooks, including David Leveen from Croton's very own Skillet Restaurant, Ed and Kristi Godek, who make their own beer, oenophiles Terrence and Laurie Yanni, Croton’s very own Mayor Wiegman and his wife Julie Evans, and Deborah and Phil Grunes, in their 19th century Finney Farm icehouse.~ Dessert and dancing will follow at the home of Bryan and Ana Stephens, where desserts from Croton's Baked by Susan will be served.

The event this year is co-chaired by Abbie Voss, CHEF board member, and Jennifer Minihan, Secretary of the CET PTA, who attended Dine-A-Round for the first time last year.~

Ms. Minihan said, "At last year’s event, my husband and~I~had the~pleasure of being a host home and it was an amazing evening.~ We had the opportunity to connect with our community neighbors, many of whom we were meeting for the first time.~ Relationships formed and continue on~through this day.”~

Ms. Voss added, “I am grateful to Jennifer for taking the time to help CHEF and support our mission of innovation in education.  I would like to extend my sincere thanks to our returning hosts and a warm welcome to our new hosts.  We look forward to a wonderful evening.”

CHEF is a non-profit foundation funding innovation in the Croton-Harmon Schools.  Through the generous support of the community over the past 10 years, CHEF has awarded grants totaling more than $500,000 for a variety of initiatives, many of which give students unique educational experiences that go beyond the scope of traditional classroom learning.  For more information about CHEF, visit the Foundation’s website at
